DJI Zenmuse X7 (Lens Excluded)

The Zenmuse X7 camera is a professional imaging tool that features high-end, new generation components designed to deliver next-level drone imagery. It has a powerful Super 35 sensor, which utilizes the new FSI-Cu technology for increased photosensitivity and better low-light capability. It also offers more dynamic range (up to 14 stops) than the Zenmuse X5S and has a pixel size of 3.91 µm.

Users can also enjoy multiple recording options, including CinemaDNG in 6K, Cinema 4K, and 4K; Apple ProRes in 6K, 5.2K, 2K, and Cinema 4K; and many more. As for stills, the X7 captures 24MP still images in various photo modes, with a burst rate of up to 20 frames per second.

The camera also features the new DJI DL-Mount, which offers a significantly shorter flange focal distance of less than 17mm, to allow the use of more compact lenses. These include four prime lenses with focal lengths ranging from 16-50mm and with resolutions of up to 8K to complement the X7’s high-end Super 35 sensor.

At the same time, the mount helps the user achieve a much lighter aircraft payload, with the camera only weighing about 630g with the lens attached. When mounted on the Inspire 2 aircraft system, the full camera and drone setup will only weigh a little under 9 pounds—allowing you to utilize a more lightweight rig while still achieving the same cinema-grade footage typically accomplished by much bigger and heavier setups.
