Mining and heavy industry
Survey stockpiles, monitor haul roads and inspect plant and electrical infrastructure with one aircraft able to carry thermal and visual detail together.
One aircraft for inspection, security, surveying and emergency response. Native 1K thermal imaging, three 50 MP cameras and a rotating LiDAR, ready for demanding conditions across Africa.
The DJI Matrice 5T is the compact flagship of the DJI Matrice 5 series. It pairs a native 1K thermal camera with three 50 MP visible cameras, a 360 degree rotating LiDAR, three-directional mmWave radar and six-directional vision sensing, all in an IP55 airframe rated from -20 to 50 degrees C. It is built for teams that fly the same aircraft over powerlines, rooftops, plant, ports and incident scenes.
*Manufacturer test figures. Actual performance depends on payload, weather, altitude, route and operating reserve. Values are quoted from DJI's released specification for the Matrice 5T.
Survey stockpiles, monitor haul roads and inspect plant and electrical infrastructure with one aircraft able to carry thermal and visual detail together.
Support patrol, perimeter observation, incident awareness and search and rescue, including night operations with the NIR auxiliary light and thermal imaging.
Inspect powerlines, substations, solar fields and wind assets where thermal anomalies and long-range visual detail matter, with laser rangefinding to confirm clearance and distance.
Assess bridges, towers, buildings and industrial structures from a safe standoff, capturing both the visual condition and the heat signature in a single flight.

The thermal camera delivers a native 1280 x 1024 resolution, four times the pixel count of a standard 640 x 512 detector. UHR Infrared Image mode outputs 2560 x 2048 at 30 fps, which is processed super-resolution and not a larger native detector.
An NIR auxiliary light and a 50 MP telephoto camera support low-light inspection and observation. Night capability depends on the scene, the available light and the operating mode in use.
A wide, a medium telephoto and a telephoto camera each capture 50 MP stills, combining wide situational views with long-range detail. Hybrid zoom reaches 176x on the telephoto camera.
The integrated laser rangefinder measures distance up to 3000 m at 25 percent target reflectivity, supporting measurement and target geolocation workflows.
A 360 degree rotating LiDAR, three-directional mmWave radar, six-directional fisheye vision and a downward ToF sensor build a layered picture of the aircraft surroundings.
DJI states a maximum flight time of 59 minutes and a maximum hover time of 54 minutes in no-wind conditions. Actual endurance depends on payload, weather, route and reserve.
The DJI O4 Enterprise Enhanced system states up to 40 km transmission under IC conditions, with 130 ms latency. Two built-in Cellular Dongle 2 modules with dual SIM add backup links.
The airframe carries an IP55 rating and operates from -20 to 50 degrees C, so it can be scheduled around demanding field conditions rather than only perfect ones.
Onboard computing supports open AI workflows and DJI Pilot 2 plugins, so detection, measurement and reporting tasks can run closer to the aircraft.
The AL2 SpotLight and AS2 Speaker are made exclusively for the Matrice 5T, adding illumination, broadcasting, text to speech and a five colour strobe light for field operations.
The aircraft supports remote control of flight, gimbal, PSDK accessories and route functions through DJI FlightHub 2, with Payload SDK, Mobile SDK and Cloud API options.
Folding to 335 x 155 x 203 mm and weighing 2239 g with propellers, the aircraft travels easily between sites and can be airborne quickly for time critical work.
The thermal camera captures a native 1280 x 1024 image, four times the pixel count of a standard 640 x 512 detector, so small temperature differences stay readable against busy backgrounds. A high gain mode covers -20 to 150 degrees C for routine electrical and mechanical inspection.
At night the aircraft combines thermal imaging with an NIR auxiliary light and a 50 MP telephoto camera. Thermal palette options include white hot, black hot, iron red, rainbow and others, so readings can be presented clearly in a report. All temperature values in our reports come from the radiometric data, not from a visual estimate.

The Matrice 5TD is the aircraft supplied as part of the DJI Dock 4 remote operations bundle. The Matrice 5T is the standalone, hand-deployed aircraft in the same Matrice 5 series. Both draw on the same 1K thermal and multi-sensor gimbal family. Confirm the configuration you need with us before ordering.
The Matrice 5T is the current generation aircraft, with a native 1280 x 1024 thermal detector, three 50 MP visible cameras, a rotating LiDAR, mmWave radar and a stated 59 minute maximum flight time. The Matrice 4T and 4TD are the previous generation. Compare mission requirements and the released specification rather than the model number alone.
The aircraft uses the DJI Pilot 2 application and software built on the DJI Mobile SDK. It integrates with DJI FlightHub 2 for remote flight control, gimbal control, PSDK accessories and route functions.
DJI states a maximum of 59 minutes and a maximum hover time of 54 minutes under no-wind test conditions. Plan conservatively for real payloads, weather, altitude and reserve. We help size the route and battery strategy during project scoping.
The DJI AL2 SpotLight and DJI AS2 Speaker are made exclusively for the DJI Matrice 5T. Matrice 5 series batteries and the 515 W charging hub are also supported. Accessory selection and inclusion are confirmed in the quotation.
No. The native thermal detector is 1280 x 1024. The 2560 x 2048 figure is the UHR Infrared Image output mode, which is processed super-resolution and not a larger native detector.
Hardware capability does not grant operating approval. BVLOS and other regulated operations require the applicable South African aviation permissions, approved procedures and qualified operators. We can help scope the operational and compliance path.
Airspace and permissions, take-off and landing areas, site access, terrain and structures, radio and cellular coverage, environmental conditions and the operating role all matter. We assess these against the mission before recommending a configuration.
Yes. GoUAV provides pilot and operator training, spares, service and support aligned to the operational role of the aircraft. Ask for these to be itemised in your quotation.
The aircraft is quoted per project, because the airframe, batteries, accessories, controller, software licences and support are configured to your mission. Send us your application, region and operating requirements and we will confirm the package.
Tell us your application, region and operating requirements. We confirm the aircraft configuration, batteries, accessories, controller, software and support as a project package rather than assuming a standard bundle.
