Dedrone Counter Drone Technology

RF Sensors

Detect and localize drones by their RF signals

The Cornerstone of Drone Detection

Almost all freely available drones use radio signals. On the one hand, they receive commands from the remote control, on the other hand they send data such as video images or telemetry, e.g. position or remaining battery power, to the remote control.

Dedrone's market-leading radio frequency (RF) sensors receive and analyze these signals and are able not only to reliably detect drones, but also to classify them - i.e. identify the manufacturer and/or model - and locate them. This applies to almost all commercial, hobby and home-made drones and the entire DJI product line.

Benefits OF RF detection

  • Reliable drone detection, classification and localization
  • Detection and localization of remote controls (under good conditions)
  • Great range
  • Installed quickly and easily
  • Operates fully automatically
  • Not subject to approval

Models At a Glance

The RF-160 forms the basis of the sensor network and is also ideal for an initial risk analysis. In combination with several RF-360s, drones are not only detected, but also located and tracked.

RF-160 vs RF-360

  • Long-range detection and early-warning
  • Detects and classifies commercial and hobbyist drones
  • Provides meaningful data for risk assessments
  • RF-based localization finds drones and pilots
  • Automatically tracks and plots flight and pilot position on map
  • Provides information on "hotspots" of drone activity
